I started my career in recruitment and before starting my family I was the Head of Resourcing for Citigroup here in Australia. Soon after my first child, I joined the Macquarie Group looking at the talent attraction strategy globally and later became the HR Manager for the Risk Management Group.
I am passionate about how important the talent attraction piece is in the employee lifecycle and enjoy educating business leaders on how to get this right. When companies are attracting the right people at the right time, engaging them and keeping them challenged, it really is amazing the impact this has on the bottom line.

Favourite imaginary client?
A client that is working to make a positive difference in the world and appreciates that effective HR can directly impact profitability and therefore does not view the function as a cost centre. A big budget would be good too!
We know what you do by day, what do you do by night?
With 3 young children to feed, water, bathe and get to bed, nights are a bit of a blur. I am lucky if I get a glass of wine on the couch in all honesty!
If you could have lunch with one person, alive or dead, who would it be and why?
Hard to say – it probably depends on what book I am reading at the time, but at the moment I would say Elon Musk.
He has some fascinating ideas on space, artificial intelligence and energy. He would provide stimulating conversation and maybe if I was lucky he would give me a good deal on a Tesla.
What might we be surprised to know about you?
One day soon I hope to be able to tell you I have a black belt in taekwondo (I am working on it but it is taking longer than planned), but for now let’s just say I have an amazing vegetable garden and grow pretty much all our own produce.
