Jetstar is one of Australia’s most recognised brands operating in the domestic and international aviation market. Whilst part of the Qantas group of businesses Jetstar operates as an independent business and owns its own HR and corporate infrastructure. Due to high growth in the Asian market, Jetstar sought to enhance its recruitment capability supporting the key markets in HK, Singapore and Japan.
TQSolutions Consulting was engaged by Jetstar to review recruitment activity and current state operations in Asia with the goal of establishing a business case for change and future operating model. The review focused on understanding the business requirements in the Asian market and involved a review of existing HR & Recruitment practices and processes. Options to outsource and insource recruitment were considered and detailed financial modelling was conducted to input into the decision. Ultimately a outsourced (RPO) solution was recommended.
TQSolutions worked closely with the regional HR team to develop the business case for change based on the diligence undertaken and subsequently provided input and support to the RPO vendor selection process that was initiated by Jetstar. This process successfully resulted in an outsourced solution being implemented across Asia in 2015 that now runs in parallel to the A&NZ RPO that previously existed.
